Mother Tree FAQ
What is the Mother Tree Project?
The Greater Mercy initiated The Mother Tree project in 2025 to provide affordable, accessible mental health services to address the resource gaps in our community. We offer sliding scale services to clients of all ages at local offices.
How do I connect to these services?
Please call or text Amy at 512-644-1778.
What can I expect when I call?
We will answer your questions and connect you with one of our case managers to discuss the details of your particular situation. Our case managers are licensed therapists who ensure you are connected with the resources you and/or your family need.
What are the costs per session?
We work within whatever financial situation is present to serve each client. Sliding-scale fees are determined based on household income during the intake with a manager. Clients with insurance will be able to use this resource with a practitioner who is a participating provider. Private pay clients who can afford to pay the practitioner’s full rate and practitioners who offer their services at a reduced rate help make sliding-scale services possible.
Every client and practitioner participating in this program make this project possible and sustainable.
Where are the counseling sessions held?
Most sessions occur at our Wimberley office located at 700 West Summit Dr. Some practitioners have office locations in Austin, Blanco, Kyle, and virtually.
Is there virtual available?
Yes, most practitioners see clients virtually if it is preferred and/or practical.
Who is eligible for these services?
Everyone is eligible for our services. Clients who have insurance or private pay help support services for those who need reduced fees. Clients who choose Mother Tree for therapeutic services offer the difference to our community.
Who are the practitioners who serve clients?
Meet our practitioners. They offer a variety of modalities and expertise including Play Therapy, EMDR, CBT, Sound, Yoga, Somatic, & Nature therapies; grief/loss, trauma, addiction, couples therapy, neurodivergence, and bilingual services.
What information is shared between The Greater Mercy and my clinician?
We are committed to safeguarding your personal information in strict accordance with HIPAA guidelines and state laws. Creating a secure, judgment-free space is our highest priority, and we will never share your information without your explicit, written consent. Case Managers, and Amy Lyles, Executive & Clinical Director receive and track information only about the number of client sessions completed in order to complete payment to the provider.
Who are your partners?
We partner with Wimberley ISD Wellness Center and School Counselors to ensure faculty, students, and their families have access to support they need. We partner with our network of practitioners to respond to the specific needs of each client. Our practitioners are highly skilled and have a variety of experience and training. We also work with local nonprofits to provide mental health care to individuals and families in need.
How can I support this project?
Donate to preserve access to mental health services in our community and to sustain our growing services and programs. To become a provider or a partner or to offer an extended network service contact Jen at 512-992-8725.
