Wendi has been a part of the Wimberley community since she and her children Jack and Mollie moved here in 2011. She knew right away that Wimberley was the perfect place to land. Having a degree in Elementary Education from Texas A&M University, Wendi continued her teaching journey in WISD. She began teaching first grade at Wimberley ISD, and when Blue Hole Primary opened in 2020, she stepped into a newly developed role as the Social Emotional Learning teacher for the entire campus. This dream job for Wendi has given her the opportunity to work with children in many capacities: individually, small groups and whole classes.
After being a part of creating a nature-place area on campus, she has recently helped to expand this concept to a beautiful nature trail and numerous nature play spaces along the trail. Nature and children go hand in hand as things she loves!!
Wendi married her husband Bubba in 2018 and they love all things Texas A&M. Her daughter Mollie is in the Aggie ACHIEVE program there (a four year inclusive college program for people with intellectual disabilities) and her son Jack and his wife Delaney live in Colorado.
The Greater Mercy’s mission resonates with my whole being. I am so honored to be a part of this beautiful foundation, what it represents and the community it serves.
